Dilemma: I turn 30 in early September. I have a pre-30 bucket list. I’m trying to check off as many as I can.
Here’s where you come in. Tell me your pre-30 bucket list type things you think I should add to the list below, and if I like it, I’ll do my best to accomplish it this summer.
Get motorcycle license

Hunt down and buy a Dodge W250 Cummins
Buy a (stock) 400+ hp car
Enter a Rally-X event
Don’t get married [ almost DONE]
Go bungee jumping
Go skydiving
Enter a high stakes poker tournament (June)
Obtain six pack abs (almost there)
Get Lasik [DONE]
Run a 5k and whoop major ass (training for one now)
Go overseas to another country [DONE]
Finish watching Breaking Bad
Start a business / have an additional source of income [FAILING]
Patch up that hole in my bathroom (not happening)
Relearn piano
Learn another language
So... I’ve never written any of this down. This looks daunting and expensive...
help.

Try DuoLingo for the foreign language. (Also fun: dating someone from a foreign country. My wife is Australian and I am pretty good at her native language now.)
You can buy a lot of cars that had over 400HP new that don’t cost that much now. The recent Pontiac GTO as well as all sorts of AMG rides (although those are pricey on maintenance).

Um, it’s just a number. I’m 5 months shy of 40, and I don’t feel much if any different than I did at 30. I got my motorcycle endorsement a couple of years ago.

Start a business / have an additional source of income
That one got a giggle. I started a Plumbing company at 26 and failed at 27. Next time there won’t be a partner involved. If he didn’t try making us huge overnight we could have done well.
The only advice i can give is to do it all while you can. Motivation and energy comes much slower as you get close to 40.
You lose your soul when you quit trying. Never quit trying.

I turned 30 back in February. I didn’t have a pre-30 list but I have a few goals for my 30s. About the only thing on both our lists is learn another language, which has a lot of different ways to go about it. I already know some Spanish (learned in high school) and a little bit of Japanese (college) and German (Kraftwerk and Rammstein songs). I’m about to start learning Ukrainian soon, ordered a book and a set of CDs.

I’m trying, brother. I’m already feeling the lack of motivation. That’s why I built this list for myself so I can at least have that one crazy year when I tried to do everything.
Also, there’s a lot more to this list but they’re kinda personal.

I dated a British girl a few years ago. I was vaguely familiar with UK English anyway, but since then I’ve become “fluent” in it. It didn’t work out but it turned me off of American women forever, so hopefully I’ll find another foreign girl soon and learn her native language too.

This is more a motivational thing for me. If I spend too much time at the gym these days, I gotta take pain killers before I go to sleep. Never had to do that before. It’s stuff like that that made me do this.

I *think* it’s 100% free. I’ve read they actually give you translation snippets at higher levels, which they farm our to electronic translation services, so in a sense you are working for them.

Ha, 30 comes for me in august. I have accomplished about half your list, but have no hope of accomplishing the other half (married with a kid, whoops)
